Indianapolis, IN –The stage is set for an electrifying weekend of collegiate rugby as the CRAA Women’s 7s National Championship takes over Kuntz Stadium on April 25–26, 2026. Featuring 28 of the nation’s top teams, this year’s championship promises fierce competition, unmatched athleticism, and a showcase of the future stars of rugby.

Defending 2025 Premier Champions Dartmouth Rugby enter the tournament with strong momentum after a recent development tour to Fiji, where they competed internationally and trained alongside the renowned Fijiana program. Their preparation underscores the level of commitment and global experience that will be on display throughout the weekend.

Adding to the excitement, rising talent Vasiti Turagavou, who recently made her debut on the HSBC SVNS Series with USA Rugby, is expected to be among the standout athletes competing.

Expect fast, dynamic, and high-level rugby,” said Tiffany Lopez, Women’s 7s Tournament Director for CRAA. Lopez also highlighted emerging players to watch, “I’m especially excited to see some emerging stars come out of this event. While she’s no stranger to the game, Jojo Mignone, coached by Mel Denham at Harvard, has been involved in both 7s and 15s national pathway camps and is likely to make her CRAA 7s Championship debut.” In the Challenger division, Lopez says to keep an eye on Mariah Overy of Cal Berkley, “She brings speed to the field and is dangerous with the ball in her hand.

The championship will also welcome leadership from USA Rugby’s high-performance pathway and senior staff, reinforcing the importance of this event as a key stepping stone for athletes aspiring to compete on the international stage. “We’re excited to be joined by USA Rugby’s high-performance pathway and senior staff, not only to celebrate the hard work of these programs, coaches, and players, but to continue creating meaningful opportunities for athletes to be seen on the world stage,” added Lopez.
