SANTA CLARA, CA – Collegiate Rugby Association of America (CRAA) has released the December edition of the D1A Power Rankings, reflecting key shifts as programs close out the Fall and prepare for the Spring Championship run.
Navy retains the No. 1 spot, though the gap at the top is narrowing. Life University and Lindenwood remain close behind at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively, each demonstrating elite athleticism, tactical precision, and depth—qualities that make them legitimate contenders to overtake the leader. After a strong Fall campaign, Army climbs to No. 4, bringing the trademark physicality and resilience that define its program. California rounds out the top five, showcasing its storied tradition and signature attacking flair.
The full December Top 20 rankings are as follows:
Notable Movements

- Grand Canyon and San Diego hold steady in the lower half of the rankings, positioning themselves as potential spoilers in the Spring.
- California State University Long Beach enters the rankings at No. 20 after impressing in early-season matchups, marking a significant achievement for the program.
