Indianapolis, IN —The final whistle has blown on an unforgettable weekend at the CRAA National Rugby Championships, where grit, speed, and relentless determination defined a spectacular conclusion to the collegiate rugby season. In front of an energized crowd and a national audience, today’s championship matches delivered high drama, statement performances, and the crowning of new national champions.

In the Men’s D1AA Challenger Cup final, Millennia Atlantic University (MAU) surged to victory in a fiercely contested battle against Arizona State, securing the title. In the D1AA Western Washington and Iowa State after tough fought match Washington state takes the game narrowly defeating Iowa State 19 to 13 to become the D1AA National Champions. Finally, in the D1A Challenger cup Davenport and Utah faced off. After an evenly matched first half, Davenport broke through with a match of dynamic attacking phases, capitalizing on key turnovers and showcasing clinical finishing, winning the D1A Challenger Cup.

The day was filled with standout individual efforts, bone-rattling tackles, and electrifying tries that underscored the growth and competitive spirit of collegiate rugby across the country. Fans were treated to a showcase of emerging talent and sportsmanship at its highest level. “This championship weekend represents everything that makes collegiate rugby special—passion, resilience, and community,” said Paul Keeler, Director of CRAA. “The level of play continues to rise each year, and today’s matches were a testament to the dedication of these student-athletes.
