Houston,TX – May 4, 2024 — The College Rugby Association of America’s (CRAA) has announced its D1A All-American Team for the 2023-2024 Season.  The players named to the D1A All-Americans will be considered for the Major League Rugby (MLR) Rising showcase in 2024.  In 2023, A total of twenty-three College Rugby of Association of America players were taken in the MLR draft class and it is expected to grow in 2024.  MLR Rising in July will feature the best collegiate players in the United States, spending a week ahead of showcase matches in Washington, DC.

We are honored to announce the 2023-2024 D1A All-Americans,” said Paul Keeler, CRAA President.  “The selection process is driven by input from our coaches and administrators, who are dedicated to creating high-performance experiences for our student athletes.  

“The sheer number of high performance athletes in D1A continue to make these selections difficult each year,“  said Paul Santinelli, D1A Commissioner.  “Many of the players selected also represent the United Stated Under 20s Junior National Team and will be highlighted in MLR Rising ahead of this year’s draft.  Our continued focus on high-performance rugby continues to feed the USA Rugby National Pathways, placing players on the USA Junior and Senior National Teams competing this year.”

The College Rugby Association of America (CRAA) is a USA Rugby sanctioned competition that includes premier divisions within Men’s and Women’s Collegiate rugby.  The competition  includes Men’s D1A, Men’s D1AA, Men’s D2, Women’s D1 Elite, Women’s D1 and Women’s D2.  CRAA is committed to creating the best possible experience for student athletes, keeping commercial resources in the collegiate game, and creating experiences for our members to engage their academic institutions and alumni.
